ANALISIS HASIL TANGKAPAN PUKAT PANTAI DIKELURAHAN PASIE NANTIGO KECAMATAN KOTO TANGAH KOTA PADANG

Abstract

West Sumatra Province has an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) area of 186,580 km2 and a coastline length of 2,420,357 km, the marine and fisheries sector is very valuable. Potential waters in West Sumatra include marine fish, freshwater fish, mangroves, coral reefs, seagrass beds, sea turtles and others. Padang City is the capital city of West Sumatra which has an area of 42,012.89 km2 while the sea area is ±180,500 km² with a coastline length of 2420,357 km. The purpose of the analysis of specifications for trawling fishing gear on the Pasie Nantigo beach is to examine the construction and composition of the catch, both fish species and size. The catch of beach trawlers in Pasie Nantigo includes 15 fishing operations with a total catch of 123.73 kg. Where the most catches based on weight were mackerel (Restralliger ranchisoma) with a weight of 21.45 kg, while the smallest number of catches was black pomfret (Parastromateus niger) with a weight of 2.27 kg.
