PENGGUNAAN KOMBINASI HORMON OVAPRIM DAN EKSTRAK HIPOFISA IKAN MAS UNTUK MERANGSANG PEMIJAHAN IKAN BAWAL AIR TAWAR ( Colossoma macropomum )

Abstract

The study objective was to determine the use of hormone LHRH-a (Luteinizing Hormone Releasing Hormone - analog) and pituitary carp (Cyprinus carpio L), singly and combined to stimulate ovulation, latent period, fertility and hatchability of eggs on the spawning of freshwater pomfret. The design that used in this study is Complete randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 repeatation. The treatment used in this study were: A. 1 dose of carp pituitary, B. 0.4 ml / kg doses of ovaprium combination + 0.5 doses of carp pituitary, C. Ovaprim combination dose of 0.5 ml / kg BW + 0.25 carp pituitary dose, D. Ovaprim dose of 0.6 ml / kg BW. Best latent time of freshwater pomfret is with B treatment in combination with  ovaprim hormone dose of 0.4 ml / kg body weight + 0.5 doses of carp pituitary with time 396 minutes. Ovi somatic index of the best eggs in treatment B with a value of 16.6%. The best fertility of the freshwater pomfret's eggs is with treatment D which use ovaprim singly with a dose of 0.6 ml / kg body weight is 75.8%, while the best hatchability get on a treatment that is as much as 65.9%.
