Abstract
This study was conducted to determine Plankton Abundance, Relative Density and Frequency of Presence (FK). While the benefits of this research are as a guide or reference for the development of Marine Aquaculture region. This study uses purposive sampling method, samples were taken using a plankton net set at 5 stations are: Station I Carocok floating cages PPP Tarusan, station II floating cages Setan Island, the station BBI Grouper Hatchery Mande III, IV station floating net Fishermen groups Mande, V station floating net cages PT. Dempu Fuyang River Aquatic Nyalo. From the results of the study found as many as 17 species of plankton type and consists of 5 classes. For phytoplankton there are 4 classes: Cyanophyceae (blue algae) found one species of Oscillatoria sp and Crysophyceae (yelow algae) found 1spesies Noticula sp and Dinophyceae (algae blonde) found three species of Ceratium sp, Perinidium sp, and Dinophysis sp. To Basillaryophyceae (diatoms) found 10 species of Asterionella sp, Bacteriastrum sp, Bidulphia sp, Chaetoceros sp, Climacodium sp, Coscinodiscus sp, Diploneis sp, Gyrosigma sp, Navicula sp and Triceratium sp and found 1 for zooplankton crustaceans found 2 species of Cyclops sp and Nauplius sp. Highest abundance of plankton found in the station I totaled 19.819 individuals / liter with Relative Density 1.19 to 17.26 individuals / liter and the lowest numbered station III 13.918 individuals / liter with a relative density of 1.67 to 17.02 individuals / liter with frequency presence of 40-100%. Carocok Tarusan gulf surrounded by mangrove forests so high abundance of plankton and avoid environmental pollution, the bay can be seen abundantly Carocok Tarusan including criteria mesotrof waters have an abundance greater than ten thousand. So it's pretty good for the growth of plankton and are very supportive for the development of marine aquaculture areas.
