PERAN PENYULUHAN DALAM PENGEMBANGAN PERIKANAN BUDIDAYA DI KECAMATAN KURANJI KOTA PADANG

This research was conducted in May-July 2022 in Kuranji District, Padang City. It aims to analyze the role of extension in motivating the development of aquaculture among farmers in Kuranji District, Padang City.The study used survey and field observation method. From 120 population size, 35 respondents were taken randomly. The data were analyzed using descriptive approach. The result of research showed that the extension played medium role of in the development of aquaculture in Kuranji District, Padang City. This is indicated by the score value of 762 from the scale between 210 and 1050. According to some fish farmers, extension should actually play a very important role on the development of aquaculture in the study area when the fish farmers could increase their internal cooperation and coordination consistently in the future.References
