Abstract

UPTD Fisheries Port Region I (PPW-I) Carocok Tarusan is a place of service for fishing vessel operations and provides services to the community of business owners engaged in the Marine and Fisheries sector around PPW-I Carocok Tarusan. This study aims to analyze the production of fishing gear for fishing boats < 30 GT that land their catch at the UPTD Fisheries Port Region 1 Carocok Tarusan, Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province. The method used is a case study method, namely by observing directly the Bagan Perahu <30 GT fishing gear used by fishermen around PPW-I Carocok Tarusan. The object of the research is the Bagan Perahu Ship weighing 26 GT. The production of boat lift catches shows that the amount of production obtained for 12 days is 3,310 kg in 1 fishing trip. the highest productivity value of the fishing gear is found on day 2 of 0.031 kg/m3.t while the lowest productivity value of this fishing gear is obtained on day 6 which is 0.001 kg/m3.t. The results of the analysis showed that the highest percentage composition was tuna with a percentage value of 41.08% and the lowest percentage composition was fish pestle with a percentage value of 0.90%.
