ANALISIS KERAMAHAN HASIL TANGKAPAN GILL NET TERHADAP LINGKUNGAN DI DESA KAMBANG KECAMATAN LENGGAYANG KABUPATENPESISIR SELATAN

Abstract

Gill nets are a type of fishing gear made of net material that is rectangular in shape where the mesh size is the same. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of environmental friendliness of the Gill Net fishing unit operating in the waters of Kambang Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan District based on the criteria for the composition of the fish caught (main target and sidetarget), size of fish that is suitable for catching, and utilization of the catch. The method used in this research is descriptive survey method. explains that the research method is to make a picture of a situation or event, as well as to obtain facts from existing phenomena and findfactual information. The gillnet fishing gear in Kambang Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Regency is included in the environmentally friendly category because the proportion of the main catch weight reaches 80%.
