ANALISIS HASIL TANGKAPAN GILLNET PERMUKAAN DI PERAIRAN CAROCOK TARUSAN KABUPATEN PESISIR SELATAN PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract

Gill nets are a type of fishing gear made of rectangular mesh material where the mesh size is the same. The purpose of this research is h to know and learn as well analyze the results of fishing units using surface gillnets ( Surface GillNet ) which operates in Carocok Tarusan Beach, District XI Koto Tarusan Pesisir Selatan Regency. Permitted mesh size according to PERMEN KP No. 02 Years 2011, namely the mesh size of drift and fixed gill nets is ≥ 1.5 inches, with rope length ≤500m to ≤ 1000 m for fixed gill nets, and ≤ 500 m to ≤ 2500 m for drift gill nets. The size of the mesh used when doing research is 2.0 inches (5.08 cm), which is the size of the eye The nets used are in accordance with existing regulations. Fishing gear gillnet in Kambang Village, Lengayang District, Pesisir Regency, including environmentally friendly category due to the proportion of the weight of the main catch reached 79%.
