Abstract

Beach seine is a traditional fishing gear that is still used today. This fishing gear is operated using a ship that transports fishing gear to the middle of the beach so that it forms a U to the shore where the fishing gear net is located in the middle, after this fishing gear is stretched to the middle then it is pulled together by fishermen. This research aims to identify the type -types of fish, knowing the composition of the catch and knowing the composition of the presence of the types of fish caught by beach trawlers operated at Pasir Jambak Beach, Pasia Nan Tigo Village, Padang City
