Abstract

Environmentally friendly fishing gear is the norm in the use of fishing gear technology. This study was conducted in April 2023. The method used in this study is descriptive survey. Data collection was carried out by measuring fishing gear and interviewing gill net fishermen in Pasir Sebel Village, Pasie Nan Tigo Village, Padang City. While the data is analyzed descriptively. The obtained data is calculated and processed, then presented in tabular form. The specification of the gill net is 120m long, 3m high, with a mesh size of 1.5 inches, the net body uses nylon line, the net foot uses PE composite fiber. The gillnet fishing gear operating in Pasir Sebelah Pasie Nan Tigo village, Padang city is a very eco-friendly fishing gear with a wallet value of 29.08.
