ANALISIS TEKNIS DAN HASIL TANGKAPAN PAYANG YANG DI DARATKAN DI PASIE NAN TIGO KECAMATAN KOTA TENGAH KOTA PADANG PROVINSI SUMATRA BARAT

Abstract

This study used the research object of the trawling gear in the Pasie Nan Tigo area, Koto Tanggah District, Padang City which was carried out in May 2023. The method used is descriptive method by observing directly the location of the trawling gear in terms of the construction of the fishing gear, the fishing area and the type of fish caught. From this study, the following conclusions were found: The number of payang fishing gear found in Pasie Nan Tigo Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, is 40 units. There are four units in Pasie Sabalah, 20 units in Pasie Kandang and 16 units in Pasie Jambak. Payang fishing gear resembles a cone with the back cut off. The longer the mesh size, the less the mesh depth, and vice versa. The smaller the mesh size, the greater the number of mesh depths. The construction of the payang fishing gear consists of a codend section with a length of between 10 - 11 meters, a body length between 30 - 31.5 meters and a long wing section. 145 - 200 meters. At the top of the payang fishing gear there is a ris line that is double attached and a cork rubber float with a length of 13 cm is installed with a tide spacing between 15 - 17 cm. At the bottom of the payang fishing gear there is also a ris line that is installed in pairs and attached with lead weights measuring 2 cm with a tidal spacing of 20 - 22 cm
