PEMBERIAN TEPUNG GETAH PEPAYA DALAM PAKAN TERHADAP KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP DAN PERTUMBUHAN LARVA IKAN LELE DUMBO (Clarias gariepinus Burchell)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of papaya latex powder in feed on the growth and survival of larvae Catfish ( Clarias gariepinus ) . This research was conducted in June and July 2013 in the Laboratory of Integrated Bung Hatta University , Padang , West Sumatra . This study uses eksperien by using completely randomized design ( CRD ) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications are on treatment A feed of fish without flour administration of papaya latex ( control ) , treatment administration of 0.5 g of flour B pepaya/100g sap feeding , treatment C giving sap pepaya/100g 1g powder feed , treatment D giving 1.5 g flour sap pepaya/100g feed . The results showed that survival was highest in treatment A and treatment length growth contained in D. Based on statistical analysis test showed that the administration of papaya latex powder in feed highly significant to the survival of catfish larvae ( P < 0.01 ) . While based on the statistical analysis for the growth of either the administration of papaya latex flour were not significantly different( P > 0.05 ) .
