Abstract

This study aims to determine how much effect of different temperature on the survival of red carp fish seed (Osphronemus gouramy) infected with Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria. Fish infected by injection with a concentration of 108 cfu (colony forming units) of 1 ml/fish. Clinical symptoms observed and calculated survival for 15 days study. The treatment in this study is treatment A (temperature 25.00C s/d 27.00C), treatment B (temperature 27.10C s/d 29.00C), treatment C (temperature 29.10C s/d 31.00C) and treatment D (as a control or comparison). The results showed that the survival rate of carp red seeds (Osphronemus gouramy) in each treatment is : A treatment with the highest survival rates were 11 individuals (73.4 %), treatment B as many as 8 individuals (53.3 %), treatment C by 5 individuals (33.4 %) and treatment D as 6 individuals (40 %). In treatment A with a temperature of 25.00C s/d 27.00C proven to be more effective to minimize the mortality rate of carp red seeds.
