PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PAKAN ALTERNATIF TERHADAP KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP DAN PERTUMBUHAN LARVA LELE DUMBO (Clarias gariepinus, Burchell)

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of alternative feed on survival rate and growth of dumbo catfish (Clarian gariepinus Burchell).  The research was conducted in the Lubuk Basung of Freswater Fish Unit, Departement of Marine and Fisheries, Agam Rgion. Dumbo catfish  fry 3 day old  were reared for 21 days in density of 10 fish/liter. The method used this study is an experimental method using a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment A (Tubifex sp), Treatment B (Dough of unripe rinuak fish), treatment C (Dough of unripe chicken liver), and treatment D (Combinations Dough of unripe rinuak fish and dough of unripe chicken liver). The daily of observed to mortality and during first 7 day of grouth larvae. The results of study showed that higher survival rate was obtained in treatment A (93.3%).  Higher daily growth rate was obtained in treatment A (22,1 mm).
