Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of rinuak raw fish and steamed fish rinuak on the survival and growth of larval catfish ( Pangasius hypophthalmus Sauvage ) . This study was conducted for 21 days from the date that is 9 to January 30, 2014 in Freshwater Aquaculture Development Unit Rays Farm Bawal , Lubuk cone . Test fish is catfish larvae aged 8 days to 20 fish stocking density / liter and maintained in a transparent plastic bucket as many as 12 pieces . As a control diet in this study is the silk worms , while the test is a kind of feed raw fish and fish rinuak rinuak steamed . Feeding is done adlibitum and frequency of feeding 3 times a day . Observations were made every day on the mortality of larvae and accompanied by penyifonan daily , while the length of the measurement samples on the growth done every 7 days and growth of the weight at the end of the study . The experiment was conducted with 3 treatments 4 replications . The treatments include treatment A , silk worms , Treatment B , Dough rinuak raw fish and Treatment C , Batter rinuak steamed fish

Analysis of variance of the data showed that larval survival value hit F > F tab , the mean survival was significantly different between treatments , analysis of absolute length growth of catfish larvae also showed the value of the hit F > F tab , which means significantly different between treatments , whereas analysis shows that the growth rate of the weight of the hit F > F tab , also significantly different between treatments . From this research, the highest yield was obtained on treatment A , with an average survival of 92.75 % , the growth of larvae absolute length of 16.3 mm and a weight of 93.5 % growth rate
