STUDI SOSIAL EKONOMI RUMAH TANGGA NELAYAN JARING INSANG (GILL NET) DI KECAMATAN SIBERUT UTARA KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI

Abstract

The objective of the study are analyze the socio-economic condition,ast the level of income and the level of welfare for the fishermen in the village of Muara Sikabaluan District of North Siberut. The method used in this study is a survey. Formula used to calculate income Salvatore (2001). The socio-economic condition to find out is used a qualitative descriptive analysis. as well as the poor criteria is used for the central body stats. Whereas to determine the level of fishermen is adjusted coordinating body of national family planning . The results showed that the respondents' level of education is low, already owned is their own homes. completeness of the respondents have been using electricity as a means of lighting and there have been fishermen who use TV, radio and newspapers as a means of information. The median income of fishermen are amounting to Rp 1,342,600 per month, respondents were coordinating body of national family planning welfare including welfare group II. Fishing households are not poor as much as 12.9%, not nearly poor as much as 5.6%, poor almost as much as 35.2% and poor as much as 46.3%.
