PEMATANGAN GONAD IKAN PALMAS (Polypterus senegalus) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PAKAN YANG BERBEDA

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the right type of feed for fish gonadal maturation Palmas (Polypterus senegalus). The method used in this study is a method of completely randomized design experiment with 3 treatments and 3 replications, treatment A (chicken liver), treatment B (silk worm), treatment C (worm). The fish samples used were Palmas female parent fish as much as 9 tails and 9 tails Palmas male parent fish. Parent Palmas fish in an aquarium maintained separately 90x42x35,5 measuring 4 cm pieces and spawning in the aquarium measuring 45x42x30 cm. Feeding twice a day is adlibitum. The results showed that the use of feeding worm significant effect on the rate of attainment of mature gonads time (42 days) and hatching fish eggs Palmas (86.086%). As for the diameter of the eggs and egg fecundity showed the best results in the treatment of A (chicken liver).
