Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine feeding frequency of Gabus juvenile (Channa striata) using Tubifex sp. The study was conducted from May 21 th to June 17 2014.
In integrated Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Bung Hatta, Padang, West Sumatra. The researcher applied Complete Random Design consisting of 4 treatments : A, B, C and D and 3 replications. Treatment A using frequency 2 times a day, treatment B using frequency 3 times a day, treatment C using frequency 4 times a day and
treatment D using frequency 5 times a day. The samples are 240 juveniles of Gabus fish 2.5 to 4.5 cm, with a stocking density for each treatment was 20 fish / unit of observation. The data was analysis by One-way ANOVA using SPSS software version 13. Results of the analysis of variance showed that the differences of feeding frequency do not significantly affect the survival of fish seed Gabus, but the growth of the seed weight and length of Gabus juveniles affect.
