Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the natural feed which is suitable for the survival and growth of fish seed Cork (Channa striata). It was done at the Laboratory of Integrated Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Bung Hatta Padang. The method used in this research is the experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) 3 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment A is giving Moina sp for 40 days, treatment B, giving the provision of mosquito larvae for 40 days, and the treatment is Tubifex sp C for 40 days. Fish samples used in this research were 225 fishes aged  20 days with stocking density 25 fishes per container. The container that is  used in this research is 9 tub sized tarp 80x80 cm, filled with water with 15 cm depth with a volume of 96 liters. The observations obtained an average of highest survival found on treatment A and C at 100% then followed by treatment B by 85.33%. The growth of the absolute weight to fish Cork seed that are getting faster growth is treatment C that is 7.14 gr. Followed by treatment A that is 6.06 gr and the lowest one is found on treatment B that is 5.66 gr. For the best  absolute  long growth found on treatment C that is 6.40 cm, and followed in by treatment B that  is 5.71 cm and the lowest of the treatment A is 5.68 cm. From the result of analyzing that was done, we can summarize that the influence of different natural feed doesnt give any influences on the survival and growt of fish fry cork.
