STUDI KONDISI BIOFISIK PENYU DI KELURAHAN KOTO JAYA, KECAMATAN KOTA MUKOMUKO, KABUPATEN MUKOMUKO PROPINSI BENGKULU

Abstract

Mukomuko is district that have coastal and marine areas, some of location marine area have nesting place of turtle. One of district become a good place for nesting is Mukomuko District. These research purposed that known all of activities nesting and the want to known caracteristics of biophysical habitat of nesting turtle. Research use descriptive type with doing survey directly which is area research. This research conducted from June 2013 until August 2013. The result of research biophysical conditions turtle is the water temperature 26⁰C - 31⁰C, air temperature 24⁰C - 31⁰C, salinity 27‰ - 31‰, pH 7 - 8, sand texture dominated fine sand by 98,52%. Vegetation found is Hibiscus tiliacceus and Casuarina equisetifollia. The slope of Indah Koto Jaya beach is 1,4º, KM 2 Koto Jaya beach is 1,3º, and the Wisata Air Pandan Koto Jaya beach is 1,6º. The types of turtles that lay their eggs on the Koto Jaya beach is Lepidochelys olivacea and a length carapace 65 cm, width carapace 59 cm. Eretmochelys imbricata a length carapace 76 cm, and width carapace 69 cm.
