IDENTIFIKASI EKTOPARASIT PADA KEPITING BAKAU (Scylla serrata) HASIL TANGKAPAN NELAYAN DI PESISIR PANTAI KECAMATAN ULAKAN TAPAKIS KABUPATEN PADANG PARIAMAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine the type of ectoparasites, calculate the frequency of occurrence and intensity of ectoparasites on mud crab (Scylla serrata) the catch of fishermen on the coast of the Ulakan Tapakis sub district, Padang Pariaman district. Sampling was conducted at three research stations on the coast of the Ulakan Tapakis sub district, Padang Pariaman  district  and  ectoparasites  inspection  carried  out  at  the  Laboratory  of  Fish Quarantine Station, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Class I Padang. The method used is purposive sampling method with sample at three research stations. The samples used were mud crab (Scylla serrata) with a sample of 10 tail/station. Examination and identification of ectoparasites performed on organs gills, carapace, claws, feet road, and swimming legs. From the research found five types of ectoparasites namely Octolasmis sp, Corophium sp, Carchesium sp, Epistylis sp, and Ergasilus sp. Most types of ectoparasites that attack the mud crab (Scylla serrata) is Octolasmis sp with the frequency of occurrence of 90% at station I and stations II, and 80% at station III. Frequency lowest incidence kind Ergasilus sp by 10% in the first station and Corophium sp by 10% at the station II. Intensity ectoparasites attack on the station I had a low-level attack, medium, and large. At the station II has a low and medium intensity attacks, while in the station III has a medium intensity attacks.
