Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of different stocking density on the growth, survival of fingerling and feed efficiency of Asang fish (Osteochilus vittatus). This study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of four treatments and three replications. A treatment with a stocking density was 1 individual

/L, treatment B was 2 individuals /L, treatment C was 3 individuals /L and treatment D was 4 individuals/L.The results indicated that the highest   growth in absolute weight at stocking density of was 1 individual /L (5.359 ± 0.947 g) and the lowest in stocking density was 4 individuals/ L (1.434 ± 0.464 g). At the highest daily weight growth in stocking density was 1 individual  /L  (0.059  ±  0.010  mg  /  day),  and  the  lowest  in  stocking  density  was  4 individuals/L (0.016 ± 0.005 mg / day). The highest of the daily length was 1 individual /L (4.025 ± 0.358 mm) and the lowest in stocking density was 4 individuals/L (1.897 ± 0.209 mm). In the daily length stocking density is highest was 1 individual /L (0.045 ± 0.004 mm / day), and the lowest in stocking density was 4 individuals/L (0.020 ± 0.002 mm / day). The highest survival rate in the stocking density was 1 individual/L (95.833 ± 7.216%) and the

lowest in stocking density was 4 individuals/L (80.416 ±  4.389%). At the highest feed efficiency in stocking density was 4 individuals/L (19.966 ± 11.648%) and the lowest in stocking density was 1 individual/L (18.966 ± 2.223%). It can be concluded that the density of 1 individual /L gives the best growth and survival for fingerling of asang.
