Abstract

This research is purposed to know the structure of mangrove vegetation scomprising of kind, seam, frequency, domination, and important value. The method which is used is purposive plot sampling, the result of observation in the area for research, there are many mangroves with height 3,5 – 10,0 m found. 6 species of mangrove found, 5 of them are genuine mangroves, they are Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Aegiceras corniculatum, Acanthus ilicifolius and Nifa fruticans   and one kind else is the followed mangrove, it’s Cerbera manghas. The species of mangrove existing in the research plot consist of 3 species of mangrove, they are

R. apiculata, S. caseolaris and A. Corniculatum. The structure of mangrove vegetation in tree level, every species existing in the area for research comprising of KR average for R. apiculata

88,24%, and S.  casoelaris 17,65 %.  FR average R. apiculata 83,33%, S.  casoelaris 16,67%. DR average for R. apiculata 84,93%, and S. casoelaris 15,07%.  NP level of tree R. apiculata

256,50%, and S. casoelaris 43,50%.

The structure of sapling level mangrove every species existing in the area consist of KR average for R. apiculata 92,78%, S.   casoelaris 5,47%, and A. corniculatum 1,75%.   FR average R. apiculata 80,83%, S.   casoelaris 15,00%, and A. corniculatum 4,17%.   DR average for R. apiculata 94,16%, and S. casoelaris 5,38%, and A. corniculatum 0,46%. NP sapling level   R. apiculata 267,77%, and S. casoelaris 25,85%, and A. corniculatum 6,38%.

Seedling level that found in every Transek. Even in transek I, II and III R. Apiculata has the highest NP that is 200%
