Abstract

Social Science is basically the study of the social sciences that attempt to educate students to become a good citizen. Education Social Sciences is a study of interdisciplinary linking various social sciences, such as history, geography, economics, sociology (social relationships), anthropology (culture), political, legal, and social psychology to understand a variety of phenomena and social life its development is so rapid and often unpredictable appropriately (unpredicable). The development of information and communication technologies so rapidly in the era of globalization, adding the sooner the development of social life following the accompanying impact. A good citizen is one of the characteristics that have character and cultured according to the cultural heritage of their ancestors. In this era of globalization, rapidly once the influence of foreign culture through various channels of information and the impact on morality and behavior of the young generation of the slump that do not fit with the character and culture of our nation. Indications morality decline in the younger generation, and requires the learning of Social Sciences which can contribute to encourage morality and character of students to be the next generation that is able to maintain the character and culture of Indonesia. Social Sciences learning through a variety of themes, can serve to foster students to have a culture in accordance with the character and culture of Indonesia.
