Abstract

Teachers had a very crucial role to develop effective instructional materials in order to promote the students in learning. Unfortunately, the materials available had not been able yet to facilitate the students to be active in the learning process. To overcome this problem, integrated thematic instructional materials by using interactive multimedia were developed. This was a PTK that consisted of four phases including defining, planing, action, observation and reflection. The materials developed were validated by three experts and two practitioners. The aspects validated in this research were technique, content and language. The results of the research uncovered that While the average score of the multimedia materials viewed from technical aspect was 3,05, (very valid), from content aspect was 3,05 (valid), and from language aspect was 3,00 (valid). The average score of the three aspects was 3,18 (valid). The result of the tried out showed that the score of the activities is good. Based on the result of the research it was concluded that the instructional materials by using interactive multimedia had been valid to be used in the IPA learning process in the third grade of Primary School.
