PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KARANGAN NARASI SISWA KELAS IV MELALUI MODEL DIRECT WRITING ACTIVITIES DI SDN 36 AIA PACAH PADANG

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to write narrative essay of grade IV students by using direct writing activities model in SD Negeri 36 Aia Pacah Padang. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The instrument used is an assessment sheet of the students' writing skill, teacher observation sheet, student obsevation sheet and student achievement test sheet. Based on the results of this study indicate that the average acquisition of student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. In the stage before writing cycle I obtained an average of 67.75 while in the second cycle increased to 70.40. At the stage of writing cycle I obtained an average of 69.16 while in the second cycle increased to 76.38. At the post-cycle stage of the cycle I found the average 74 in cycle II increased to 75.19. Based on these results, it can be concluded this research shows that the use of direct writing activities model can improve the ability and write essay writing of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 36 Aia Pacah Padang achieved well.
