PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA SISWA KELAS IVSDN 01 SUNGAI AUR

This study aims to describe the difference of science learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN 01 Sungai Aur with the application of learning model of Discovery Learning better than the result of science learning of students with conventional learning in class IV SDN 01 Sungai Aur. The research method used is experiment. Population in this research is all student / student of class IV as much 45 people, sample selection technique use porposiv sampling. The experimental class is class IV A while the control class IV B. In this study, the instrument used is the test of learning outcomes. Data analysis was done by normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis. The results of the students' study using the learning model of Discovery Learning have an average of 87% mastery and students using conventional learning have an average of 80%, which is obtained from the t distribution list at the real level of 0.05. Thitung value = 3.43 with dk = n_1 + n_2-2 = 16 + 21 - 2 = 35. From the distribution table t obtained ttable = 2.03. So it can be concluded t_count> t_table, where 3,43> 2.03 thus hypothesis work H1 accepted and H0 rejected. Then it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes that apply the learning model of Discovery Learning with students applying conventional learning.
