This study aims to examine and prove the effect of role clarity and work environment on career commitment with job stres and job satisfaction as mediating variables. The population in this study were 112 employees at the Regional Secretariat and DPRD West Pasaman Regency and which could be processed were 109 respondents. The type of data used is primary data. The method of data collection is by distributing questionnaires. The analytical tool used in this research is the smart-PLS 3.3.3 software. The results showed that the role clarity variable had a positive effect on career commitment, role clarity had a positive effect on job stres, role clarity had no effect on job satisfaction, job stres had no effect on career commitment, the work environment had a positive effect on career commitment, and the work environment had a positive effect on job satisfaction, work environment has no effect on job stres, job satisfaction has no effect on career commitment. Furthermore, work stres does not mediate the relationship between role clarity and career commitment and job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between work environment and career commitment at the Regional Secretariat and DPRD Secretariat of West Pasaman Regency.References
