Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of work motivation and job satisfaction as a mediation of leadership style and organizational commitment. The total population of respondents who can be used in this study is 125 employees at the Tanah Datar Regional Secretariat, West Sumatra. This study uses a census sampling technique. Sources of data needed in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. To get the data needed in this study using surveys and documentation. Analysis of inferential statistical data using SmartPLS (Partial Least Square) 3.3.3 software, namely Measurement Model Assessment for instrument testing and Structural Model Assessment for hypothesis testing. The results of this study found that there was no influence of leadership style on organizational commitment. The leadership style variable was found to have a positive and significant effect on work motivation and job satisfaction. Work motivation has been shown to mediate the relationship between leadership style and organizational commitment, and job satisfaction has also been shown to mediate the relationship between leadership style and organizational commitment
