THE MEDIATING EFFECT OF JOB SATISFACTION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEIVED EXTERNAL PRESTIGE, TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND DEVIANT WORKPLACE BEHAVIOR

This study is aimed to examine and to prove the effect of perceived external prestige and transformational leadership on deviant workplace behavior with job satisfaction as a mediating role. The populations of this study were 95 civil servant teachers of MAN in West Pasaman regency with 93 respondents who could be processed. The type of research data is primary data. Methods of data collection is using a questioner data. The research analyzing tools uses Smart-PLS. The results of the study found that: the perceived external prestige has no effect on the deviant workplace behavior; the transformational leadership has a negative to the deviant workplace behavior; the perceived external prestige has no effect on the job satisfaction; the transformational has a positive effect on job satisfaction; the job satisfaction has no effect on deviant workplace behavior; job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between perceived external prestige and deviant workplace behavior; the job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between the transformational leadership and deviant workplace behavior of civil servant teachers of MAN in West Pasaman regency.References
