ANALISIS KRIMINOGEN TERHADAP TINDAK PIDANA PENCURIAN KENDARAAN SEPEDA MOTOR DI KOTA PADANG (STUDI KASUS DI POLRESTA PADANG)

Abstract

The crime of motor vehicle theft is a social problem that continues to increase in the Padang City area. Theft as regulated in Articles 362 – 367 of the Criminal Code is one of the provisions that can ensnare perpetrators of motor vehicle theft. As an example in the case of the perpetrators with the initials DF and YOP, the two perpetrators stole a red Honda Scopy motorbike BA 5906 BS. The perpetrator was arrested in a dif erent location, then paralyzed with lead because he resisted being arrested. Problem Formulation 1) What factors cause motorbike theft in the Padang City area? 2) What are the ef orts to prevent motorbike theft by the Padang City Resort Police? The type of research used in this research is that the writer conducts empirical legal research (juridical). Data collection techniques through interviews and document studies. Data was analyzed qualitatively. Research conclusions 1) Factors causing the crime of motorcycle theft in the jurisdiction of the Padang Police are caused by economic factors, educational factors, environmental factors, and law enforcement factors. 2) Countermeasures carried out by law enforcers or police of icers include Pre-emptive, Preventive and Repressive.
