AN ANALYSIS OF CONTASTIVE SPEECH ACT OF APOLOGY IN JAPANESE LANGUANGE AND JAVANESE LANGUANGE OBSERVED ON THE POWER AND SOLIDARITY

Abstract

Speech act of apology is an speech act which is contained in all languange, it does
not expect Japanese and Javanese. Speech act of apology has speakers and hearers,
so that the situation of speech act that related to the power and solidarity between
them both is very important. Based on formulation of the problem, this research
focused on the analysis of speech act of contrastive which is contained speech act
of apology of Japanese languange and Javanese languange which is observed on
the power and solidarity.
This research used descriptive qualitative method. Sourch of data on this research
is obtained by Japanese languange film and Javanese languange film in this
research, technique of collecting the data used literature study which is collected
the sourch of data from electronic media which entitled Japanese Film and
Javanese film besides, the research used technique concentrated and notedwhich
is focused on the dialogue that contained apology in Japanese languange and
Javanese languange. Furthermore, it is wrote on the label of data and the analysis
of the data used technique of appeal contact.
The result of the research found that not all the speech act of apology in Japanese
and Javanese languange used in all the situation of speech act. The speech act
which is often used in Japanese languange is sumimasen and speech act which is
often used in Javanese languange is nyuwun pangapunten. In both languange,
those are contained speech act of apology which has mean excuse and apology that
are named sumimasen and shitsurei shimasu in Japanese languange and nuwun
sewu in Javanese languange. Japanese languange has speech act of apology which
is meant gratitude named sumimasen. Whereas, there is no apology which is
meant gratitude in Javanese languange.
