KOHESI PADA LIRIK LAGU POP MINANG RATU SIKUMBANG DALAM ALBUM MANJALANG DENAI

Abstract

This research describes grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion in the lyrics of the Pop Minang Ratu Sikumbang song in Manjalang Denai Album. To analyze the data, Sumarlam's theory is used. The method used is descriptive method. For data collection, a method of note taking is used. Next, to analyze the data used a method with reading marking techniques and slime techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was found that gramtical cohesion consisted of references and conjunctions. The references found consist of (a) the persona reference in the form of the first persona reference and the second persona reference; (b) demonstrative references in the form of present time, past time and neutral time; (c) comparative references. Conjunction found in the form of contradictions, time, cause and effect. The lexical cohesion found was (a) repetition consisting of epizeuxis, tautotes repetition, anaphorous repetition, epistrofa repetition; (b) synonymy; (c) antonymy; (d) collocation
