GAYA BAHASA PADA EMPAT PUISI DALAM BAROMBAN KUMPULAN PUISI KARYA IYUT FITRA

Abstract

This study describes figurative language in the collection of Kumpulan
Puisi Baromban by IyutFitra. To analyze the data, Herman J.Waluyo's figurative language theory was used. This type of research is qualitative research and uses descriptive methods. Research data collection techniques are documentation techniques. The data source used is four poems with the theme of the vehicle. The four poems are Angkutan Kota yang Tak Penuh, Truk Sampah yang Melintas
Pagi-pagi, Sampan-sampan di Baromban, dan Terkenang Pedati. The four poems were analyzed using five figurative language, namely simile, personification, hyperbole, synonymy, and irony. The most widely used figurative language is personification and hyperbole. This is to clarify events and get more careful attention from the reader.
