PENGARUH OMOIYARI TERHADAP TOKOH JOSEE DALAM ANIME JOSEE TO TORA TO SAKANA-TACHI
Keywords:
Anime, omoiyari behavior, influence, characterAbstract
Omoiyari known as Japanese culture, means helping each other which is done voluntarily without expecting anything in return. Omoiyari is considered as prosocial behavior which contains feelings of altruism, sympathy, and empathy. The anime Josee to Tora to Sakana-tachi is about Josee, a disabled girl who is influenced by the omoiyari behavior from others that she received. The theories used for this study are understanding anime, character and omoiyari as prosocial behavior according to Hara. Descriptive analysis used as the research method, assisted by the technique of listening and recording in data collection and observation techniques in data analysis. The results of the study revealed that Josee received three of the four types of omoiyari behavior, namely help (9 data), support (3 data), and encouragement (3 data). Omoiyari behavior from people around her that is right in its delivery can influence changes in Josee's character which makes her a better person than before. Josee initially had a dependent, inferior, and gloomy character. Josee's character changes into a happier, more independent person, brave to face the outside world, and begins to feel confident in her abilities. At the end, Josee is even able to do reciprocal omoiyari to Tsuneo, as the character who has given her the most omoiyari in her life.References
