Abstract

Affixation is a morphological proses that converst a lexeme beong word after receving affixes. The research problem is how the from, function, and meaning in malay affixation in Aur Cino Tebo Jambi District. This research aimed to describe the form, function, and meaning in Malay affixation in Aur Cino Tebo Jambi District. To analyze the from, function and meaning of affixation, the researcher used Chaer theory. Methods that used for data collection is listening method, with listening thecnique and conversation recording technique, and note technique, therefore, the data analysis methods that used is agih method and technique that used is a technique for durect element. Affixation that was found in Malay language in Aur Cino Tebo Jambi District consist of (1) prefixes, which consist of the prefixes ba- „ber‟, prefixes ma- „me‟, prefixes ta- „ter-‟, prefixes sa- ,‟se-‟, prefixes ka- „ke-‟ and prefixes di- „di-‟ (2) sufixes, which consist of the suffixes –an, and sufixes –nyo, (3) konfixes, which consist of the konfixes ka-an, konfixes ba-an, konfixes pa-an, konfixes sa-nyo and konfixes ma-an, and (4) klofixes, which consist of the klofixes ma-an, klofixes me-kan, klofixes mampa-, klofixes mampa-an, klofixes ba-an and klofixes di-an. Prefixes, sufixes, konfixes, and klofixes aimed (1) to form an active verb transitive (2) furming an active verb in transitive (3) furming nominal (4) furming adjective and furming a number. Prefixes, sufixes, konfixes and klofixes have meaning: (1) do the work, (2) driving, (3) having, (4) do the action, (5) stating condition, (6) stating sedvence, (7) stating the level or sequence of number.
