ADVERB OF MINANGKABAU LANGUAGE IN SINGGALANG NEWSPAPER

Abstract

Research of Minangkabau Language in Singgalang Newspaper did because there are many adverb variation of from, function, and meaning ini Singgalang Newspaper. This research has purpose to describe from, function, and meaning of adverb of Minangkabau language in Singgalang Newspaper. The writer use Alwi et al and Chaer‟s theory to analyse adverb of Minangkabau Language in Singgalang Newspaper. Method that used to collecting data is observation method and note taking technique. Next to analysing data used substitution and deletion technique. Adverb that found in Singgalang Newspaper is single adverbs and combines adverbs that have function to explain verb, noun, and adjective. Position of adverb that found adverb that precedes word explained and adverb that follow word describe. There fourteen meaning of adverb that found, (1) disclaimer adverb, (2) qualitative adverb, (3) limitation adverb, (4) degreeadverb, (5) time adverb, (6) completed adverb, (7) certainty adverb, (8) offering adverb, (9) compulsion adverb, (10) wish adverb, (11) frequentative adverb, (12) addition adverb, (13) ability adverb, and (14) expectation adverb.
