Abstract

Abstract In this thesis, the researcher analyzed the from and function of to iu koto and to iu mono in novel titled Watashi o Hanasanaide by Kazuo Ishiguro with study; stucture. This thesis applied descriptive method which means the research is based on facts or phenomena that empirically still employ by native speakers so it can be presented as it is (Sudaryanto, 1992:62). Undurstanding the content and taking notes were the searcher method to collect data needed. In analyzing the data, the researcher used agih as basic technique for the direct elemen (BUL). To analyze the from and function of to iu koto and to iu mono, the researcher referred to thery of Yuriko Sunagawa (1998).
