Abstract

In this study the authors analyzed the strategy of speech acts of complained of
Japanese children in Marumo No Okite drama as a source of research data. The method
used in this research is descriptive and theoretical methods that I use to analyze the data in
this study is the theory of strategy complain by Anna Trosborg. Based on the results of the
research study, the authors grouping speech acts complained of are often used when the
speaker expressed the complaint. First, the strategy complaint with cues, speakers
complained not say clearly to the addressees about what they complained. The contents of
complaints are generally not mentioned in the speech was said by the speaker. second,
Strategy of complaints by declaring annoyance marked with speech that contain expressions
of resentment towards the speakers. the Resentment is expressed only wants addressees to
realize that he was angered with the action done by the addressees. Third, the strategy of
complaints by blaming, the speakers considers that the action is happening because of
addresses mistake , and addressees should be responsible. Fourth, the strategy of complaints
by way of accusation, the speakers accusing the directly to the adreesses that has done the
annoyance or bad actions.
