Abstract

In this research, writer analyze the meaning of passionin song lyrics of Inuyasha animation. Writer interested to analyze the four song which have passion's meaning. The four song was ever won top five on the Oricon chart.The meaning of passionis found through sense, feeling, tone, and intention and described through denotation and connotation. This research applies descriptive method. The four song that correlation writer chose have meaning of passion with different objects. There are three songs which show the passion of the future and a one song which shows the passion of love. It can be seen that the of all of four song theme is humanity theme. Furthermore, in that four song lyrics author found there are correlation between the meaning of passion and the sense, feeling, tone, and intention. Keywords: poetry, song lyrics, meaning of passion
