ANALISIS KOHESI LEKSIKAL PADA TEKS LAGU DALAM ALBUM BINTANG DI SURGA KARYA PETERPAN

Abstract

Lexical cohesion instrument is an instrument that used as medium connection
among the elements that one with other elements. The problem of research is how to
form of lexical cohesion instrument is in ‘Bintang di Surga’ album by Peterpan. This
research is aim to describe the form of lexical cohesion instrument in ‘Bintang di
Surga’album by Peterpan. This research is descriptive research. The data of this
research are collected by using observation method with note taking. The analysis is
conducted by applying distributional method including reading marker technique. The
result of analysis shows that three lexical cohesion instrument: (1) Reiteration, there
are a) full repetition preposition, pronominal, adverbial, adverbial phrase, verb, and
verb clause categories; b) repetition in other form pronominal, verb, and nominal
categories; and c) repetition with substitutional nominal category. (2) Collocation, the
word found are a) foot and head; b) look and see, c) grief and sad, and d) sky and star.
(3) Antonymic, the word found are a) absolute opposition verb and prepositional
phrase categories; b) polar opposition adjective and verb categories; and c) compound
opposition verb category.
