BENTUK KALIMAT INTEROGATIF DALAM BAHASA MINANGKABAU DI NAGARI KUNANGAN PARIT RANTANG KABUPATEN SIJUNJUNG

Abstract

Interrogative sentence is sentencing which hoping answer from the addressee.
Interrogative sentence needed intonation to clear the question that gives to the addressee.
The problem in this research is how to form of interrogative sentence in Minangkabau
language at Kunangan Parit Rantang village Sijunjung regency. This research is aim to
describe form of interrogative sentence in Minangkabau language at Kunangan Parit
Rantang village Sijunjung regency. This research used Chaer’s theory with descriptive
method. The data of this research are collected by using observation method with
elicitation technique. The analysis is conducted by applying distributional method
including deletion technique and reserve technique. The result of research in Minangkabau
language at Kunangan Parit Rantang village Sijunjung regency about form of
interrogative sentence found five interrogative sentences, they are (1) interrogative
sentence which need yes/no answer; (2) interrogative sentence requesting answer regarding
one element of a sentence formed with the help of question word; (3) interrogative
sentence requesting the answer, the question words formed reason why; (4) interrogative
sentence requesting the suggestion answer (about asking matter) formed with interrogative
word how; and (5) interrogative sentence give requesting answer to support the question.
