PENGARUH MUSIM TERHADAP CHANOYU
Abstract
In this thesis the author researching on the influence of the season against chanoyu inJapan. The reason the author took this title because the authors wanted to find out how the
development of chanoyu in Japan and how to relate the influence of season on chanoyu in Japan.
Which aims to describe the development of chanoyu in Japan and related influences a season of
chanoyu in Japan. In this study the author uses descriptive method. To analyze the data using the
author's theory of culture.
From the results of research that the author find turned out to be the beginning of tea
discovered became an attraction and a phenomenon. Tea was first believed to have been found in
China. Tea was discovered by Emperor Shennung. From Chinese tea was brought to Japan in the
8th century, Japan new tea thanks to the Buddhist monks who had studied religion in China. In
the 12th century, Buddhist monk named Eisai returned from China began to introduce a new tea
presentation technique known as tencha with matcha powder. Later, in the 16th century, Sen no
Rikyu, a Zen priest who is highly respected. The value contained in the Zen Buddhist doctrine
applied in chanoyu ceremony. Of the four seasons in Japan turns out to affect a chanoyu
ceremony is divided into two seasons, namely summer ro and the anglo. However, the way the
conduct of chanoyu is no different and is not changed every season.
