BUNRAKU DAN PELESTARIANNYA

Abstract

In this thesis the author is researching on Bunraku preservation. The reason the author took this title because the author wanted to know how development, decline and preservation of Bunraku by the Government of Japan, Bunraku artists, and private parties. This study aims to describe the development, decline of Bunraku and the preservation. In this study the author uses descriptive method. To analyze the author uses the theory of culture and theory of preservation. From the results of research that the author find turns Bunraku originated century 11 with showing a simple doll accompanied by musical instruments Biwa. The Bunraku developed in the 16 century with the theme of the story is more interesting with new musical instrument Shamisen. Bunraku is experiencing growth in popularty in the 17 century. However in the 18 century Bunraku suffered a setback due to the loss of its author, so did the bad management and disaster fires that destroyed the property of Bunraku. Therefore the preservation of Bunraku should be done by all parties must participate in the preservation of Bunraku as Bunraku is Japan’s high cultural assets which have become world heritage therefore Government must preserve the Bunraku Japan to keep world heritage continues to be the all time.
