THE MEANING OF SINCERITY ON THREE SONG LYRICS AKIMOTO YASUSHI SONG: IMAGERY AND SYMBOL

Abstract

In this thesis, writer analysis the meaning of sincerity on three of Akimoto Yasushi's song lyrics. This research is qualitative research, using descriptive method with library research. For analysis the meaning of sincerity on three song lyrics, writer using imagery in the form of auditive imagy, visual imagery and tactile imagery, and mostly symbol in the form of colour symbol, object symbol, and scenery symbol.
Sakura no Shiori have sincerity meaning in the form of determination. That determination is the solemnity of poet for reach his goal, wish and dreams since school until that all dreams come true. All of his determination showed in visual imagery, tactile imagery, object symbol and scenery symbol. Manatsu no Sounds Good have sincerity meaning in form of his seriousness in make a relationship and to get a more love from his partner and truthy of showing a deep love each other, giving a comfortable and protection atmosphere which in form of visual imagery, tactile imagery, and scenery symbol. Choco no Dorei have sincerity meaning in form of his tenacious and fighting hardly in order to know how is the feeling of his loving partner and in order to get the answer of unrequited love imagery in form of auditive imagery, visual imagery, tactile imagery, and object symbol. The most sincerity meaning of that three song lyrics is determination. The most imagery of that three song lyrics is visual imagery and mostly symbol is the scenary symbol.
