PENGARUH OTAKU DI KALANGAN REMAJA INDONESIA

Abstract

This research explain about the influence of otaku among Indonesian teenager. The reason for taking this theme because The author want to know about how the development of the otaku and influence for Indonesia teenager. Otaku is one of Japanese youth culture that involve and spread around the world and including Indonesia. This causes a change of attitude and mindset of teenager towards foreign cultures that coming into Indonesia. This research aim to explain the impact of otaku for teenager. The method used is descriptive method. To analyze the data the author uses the theory of culture and cultural diffusion.
The result is from 3 types of otaku are given (anime, manga, and games online) anime is the most popular choice among teenagers Indonesia. Teenagers also feel the impact of both negative and positive. Like many knowledge of Japanese culture and them love the creative industries of Japan. As well as through the media of anime, manga and online game, teenagers can increase their comprehension in a foreign language. While the negative impact is teenagers become lazy to study and less wasteful.
