Tindak Tutur Bertanya Bahasa Jepang dalam Film Drama “Tada, Kimi o Aishiteru”

Abstract

At this research, author analize about speech atcs of asked the Japanese language
from drama "Tada, Kimi o Aishiteru" by Takuji Ichikawa as data source. The issues is
direct and indirect strategies and also the politeness level of asking speech act. For this
analisys, author use descriptive method and teorics about the strategies by George Yule
and also connect dependencies with theory by Ron Scollon, Suzane Wong Scollon,
Rodney H. Jones with Brown and Levison’s theory.
From the result of research that direct strategy only use as an interrogative
sentence for just get informations or explanations. Whereas, the indirect strategy besides
informations or explanations as well answer also obtaining specific actions. And then,
in this speech act politeness level is important when speaker speak with hearer. We can
see from situations of power and solidarity between the participants relationship. The
politeness usually determinded of the participants contexts, cuch as the status and age.
Then, the speaker tries to protect self-image with 2 ways of face threatening acts is
Positive and Negative Face and also using politeness strategies : bald on-record,
positive politeness, negative politeness, and bald off-record.
