LOCAL WISDOM IN THE ART OF DANCE IN EMPAT LAWANG DISTRICT
Abstract
"> Local wisdom is the local cultural values that can be used to set the order of thesociety as a wise or unwise. As the problem of the research is how local wisdom
contained in mapak dance, nugal padi dance, ketubean dance, and kipas
pelinjangan dance in Empat Lawang District. The research aims to reveal and
describe of local wisdom in the four dance above. By analyze the value of local
wisdom in the dance, then it’s used the theory of Setiawati and Sibarani. The
method used is descriptive method. The methods used in collect the data are (1)
observation, (2) interview, (3) discussion and (4) written document. The
techniques used are (1) documentation, (2) record, and (3) make a note. Based on
the research result found some of local wisdom in every dance. Mapak dance
contains of the local wisdom of peacefulness among politenes value, honesty,
harmony, and conflict resolution. Nugal padi dance contains of the local wisdom
of peacefulness, they are politenes values, honesty, and social solidarity. Ketubean
dance contains of the local wisdom of peacefulness, they are politeness values,
honesty and social solidarity. Ketubean dance contains of local wisdom of
welfare, they are the of hard work. Mutual assistance, and healty. Kipas
pelinjangan dance contains of local wisdom of peacefulness, they are politenes
values, honesty and social solidarity
