ANALISIS AFIKSASI BAHASA MENTAWAI DI DUSUN SIKAREURU KEPULAUAN MENTAWAI

Abstract

Affixation is a process in a form of either singular or complex shape to form new words. The
purpose of this study was to describe the form, fuction and meaning of language affixation
village Mentawai in Hamlet Sikareuru Mentawai Islands. To Analize the affixation language
in Hamlet Sikareuru Mentawai Islands in terms of form, fuction, and meaning, used Chaer
theory. This reaserch uses descriptive method. In collecting the data used refer to technigue
refer to method involved capably and free technigue involved capably and technigue
involved capably. Addition, the authors also use recording technigue and technical notes.
Furthermore, the method used to analize data shared with applying the technigue to the
elements directly. Based on the reaserch results, the form of affixation language, in Hamlet
Sikareuru Mentawai Mentawai Islands found were (1) the frefix mouth, pasi- Uncle- i,
breath, there, as, and by when, (2) suffix consists of suffixes -aken, i, an, and na. (3) konfiks
consists of konfiks ka-an, mu-an, se-na. (4) klofiks were found to consists of klofiks chalki -
aken, chalki-i, pasiper-aken, mu-aken, i-aken, i-i, iper-aken, iper-i.
