THE MEANING OF HOPE IN ONE OK ROCK LYRICS RINGU WANDERINGU AND ANSA IZU KURIA: ROMAN INGARDEN NORM STRATUM

Abstract

This research purposed to discuss the meaning of hope in the two lyrics of
One Ok Rock through their mini-indie album. The lyrics that chosen was lyric
who had word 夢(yume/ dream), 明日(ashita/ tomorrow), and 君(kimi/ you)
word, then a word that ends by sentences patterns of ~たい(~tai/ want~) or ~な
い(~nai/ don’t want ~) in the lyrics. To discuss the two song, writers used
descriptive method and Roman Ingarden norm stratum. The meaning of hope
founded in the first lyric リングワンデルング(Ring Wandering) was a hope to
knowing the reason why human had to be born to the world. A wander was do to
know that reason and finally after do wander figured that who know the reason
why human born to the world is the God who the one knowed. As the second lyric
アンサイズクリア(Answer is Clear) had meaning of hope to fulfill life with full
responsibility, so without any sense of regret can meet with the death peacefully.
