Syafni Gustina Sari, S.Pd.,M.Pd.Social Sciences (IPS) is the study of social problems that are scientifically packaged to provide understanding to students. The teaching materials available at school are teacher handbooks, student handbooks and student worksheets (LKS) which are in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. There are 9 themes available in schools, on the 9 themes that the books available do not meet the demands of the curriculum or the demands of competence Basically, the material presented looks concise so that the available books cannot be used as the only source of reading books for the learning process, what dominates in the student book is the exercises rather than the material, it causes when students do the exercises many students who cannot answer because the information in the material is incomplete and inadequate. To solve this problem, the researcher developed a module using a mind mapping approach for grade IV SD students. So the researchers conducted development research with the title "Development Of The IPS Learning Module UsingA Mind Mapping Approach For Class Iv Elementary School Student”This type of research is development research. The research and development model used is the 4-D model, namely define, design, develop and design. In this study, it only reached the developstage due to limited time and ability. The research instrument included a validation sheet and a practicality questionnaire. The social studies learning module is validated by 3 lecturers, and tested on 1 teacher and 5 students.The results showed that the development of the social studies learning module theme 6 "My aspirations" sub-theme 2 "The greatness of my aspirations" with a mind mapping approach for grade IV elementary school students met very valid criteria with an average validity of 3.7. The module that has been developed is categorized as very practical by educators with an average percentage of 95.25% practicality, it is also categorized as very practical according to students with an average percentage of practicality of 88.33%. From these data it can be concluded that the social studies learning module theme 6 "My aspirations" sub-theme 2 "The great thing is my aspirations" with the mind mapping approach fulfills the valid and practical criteria, so it can be used in learning in grade IV SDKeywords: Module Development, Social Studies, Mind Mapping
